About Windsor Heights

The City of Windsor Heights provides comprehensive services to existing and prospective businesses by assisting with site and building information, financial assistance and guidance through the development process.

The City Council, City Administrator, and Building and Zoning Official work to advance the goal to develop and redevelop Windsor Heights, to retain and grow existing businesses, recruit new business, expand employment opportunities, and encourage the establishment and growth of commerce in the City of Windsor Heights by way of existing business relationships, marketing and new business development, partnership building, financial assistance and workforce development.

Windsor Heights has a convenient, central location in the Des Moines Metropolitan Area.  We are in close proximity to transportation modes, with two exits off I-235 and near I-35 and I-80. We are a short ten minute ride to the Des Moines International Airport.

We have a unique housing stock, plus a highly regarded park that attract regional users.

Not to mention, we have close proximity to arts, culture, shopping and entertainment.

Windsor Heights is in the heart of it all and can be seen as an attractive place for your business.
