12/4/20 Road Project Update

Stage 2: For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will prepping and pouring sidewalk and driveways.  Once all sidewalks and driveways have been completed, they will begin grading yards.  Final grading will not occur until the spring along with seeding.  All work is weather dependent.  Please remember to place garbage and recycling out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the Contractor to pick up.  Pickup times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time.

Stage 3 & 4:  For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will be installing water services.  With water service installation, residents will experience short disruption to water.  Notices will be given for planned water shutoffs to those affected residents.  Driveways with rock in them will be poured with concrete.  This work is weather dependent.

Stage 2 (73rd Street to 75th Street):  For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will finish backfilling and cleaning up the site.  Final grading will not occur until the spring along with seeding.  All work is weather dependent.  Please remember to place garbage and recycling out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the Contractor to pick up.  Pickup times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time.  Temporary mailboxes will be used until the street is open to traffic.

Stag 3 (Plaza Circle to 78th Street):  For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will be backfilling and cleaning up the site and installing mailboxes.  Final grading will not occur until the spring along with seeding.  All work is weather dependent.  Please remember to place garbage and recycling at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the Contractor to pick up. Allison Avenue Project

Stage 2 (middle of Allison to 64th Street):  For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will be backfilling and cleaning up the site.  Please remember to place garbage and recycling out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the Contractor to pick up.  Pickup times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time.  Temporary mailboxes will be used until the street is open to traffic.

Stage 2B (64th St Intersection):  For the week of December 7th, the Contractor will be pouring street pavement.  Once street pavement has time to cure properly, they will be pouring driveways.  The intersection will remain closed (approximately another two weeks).  Please find alternate routes.  Please remember to place garbage and recycling out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the Contractor to pick up.  Pickup times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time.  Temporary mailboxes will be used until the street is open to traffic.

During the week of December 7th, the Contractor will be pouring a driveway and sealing the roadway.  They will be backfilling and cleaning up the site.  Electrical work will continue between 70th Street and 73rd Street.  Work is weather dependent.  All businesses are open.  For everyone’s safety, monitor traffic control changes, and no texting while driving.  Watch for construction workers and the added construction truck traffic.  Do NOT follow trucks into the work zone.
