Windsor Heights – A Safe Community for Your Business and Employees

Posted on October 19, 2022 at 3:22 PM by Adam Strait

Windsor Heights is a smaller community in the metro area, and this allows our police officers to develop and maintain personal connections with our businesses.   Officers regularly work with local businesses to resolve crime related issues, and also lend insight into vulnerabilities and opportunity for safety improvement.  Our officers regularly conduct safety checks to ensure our businesses are secure overnight, during hours when most businesses are closed, and we support our businesses through education of security trends or ongoing issues in the community.  Finally, our officers assist with R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) training to help protect - specifically women, children and the elderly – from assaults.

The Windsor Heights Fire Department has built strong community partnerships to ensure a safe community and bring safe spaces to local businesses.  The Fire Department conducts regular fire inspections to identify opportunities for improvement, ensure compliance with various fire and building codes, and maintain a touch point with our local businesses.  We offer a KNOX program where secure key devices are placed on the outside of commercial and residential buildings which hold a master key so our teams can make entry in case of emergency without damaging property.

Chief McCluskey is readily available to meet with our business community to discuss anti-fraud efforts, and works closely with our retail stores to safely and courteously accommodate customers while maintain the highest level of safety and security.
