[ARCHIVED] Special Events Draw Thousands to Windsor Heights

The original item was published from October 19, 2022 3:17 PM to October 26, 2022 8:55 AM

Throughout the year, the City of Windsor Heights holds special events to engage with residents. To help plan and organize these events, the City created the Special Events Committee. The events committee is made up of councilmembers, community organizers, and citizen volunteers.

Current members include:

  • Susan Skeries, Councilmember
  • Lauren Campbell, Council Member
  • Elizabeth Etters
  • Elizabeth Silva
  • Mark Arends
  • David Swartz
  • Pete Randol

The events this committee organizes draws thousands of people through Windsor Heights. Sometimes a single event can draw that amount in as seen with the inaugural Fall Festival held on September 23 and 24. Other events held through out the year include Movies in the Park, Windsor Wonderland, and Veterans Day Luncheon.

Connecting with the events committee is a great way to leverage this increased traffic through the city by getting your business involved. The committee is always happy and ready to discuss opportunities from sponsorships to donations. The best way to connect is to reach out to council members Susan Skeries (susan.skeries@windsorheights.org ) and Lauren Campbell (lauren.campbell@windsorheights.org).
