ORDINANCE NO. 20-08

city of windsor heights neighborhood

The City of Windsor Heights will no longer require that signs advertising rental properties be from the City. Previously, City Code had required residents to pay a deposit and use signs provided by the City.  Ordinance no.20-08 was passed on October 5, 2020, and will amend the City Code to remove that requirement.

City Code regarding rental signs now states:

  • Property owners need to have their property inspected before advertising it for rent
  • Once the rental inspection is complete the property owner may place a rental sign
  • Rental signs shall be no larger than 18 inches by 24 inches
  • Rental signs shall not be placed in any right-of-way and should be removed as soon as the property is rented

The full ordinance is below.
