Planning & Zoning Commission

Responsibilities

The Planning and Zoning Commission is responsible for making recommendations to the Windsor Heights City Council regarding land use, changes in zoning, and review of sub-division plans or plats. The Planning and Zoning Commission shall hold public hearings as required by law and make recommendations to the City Council on all matters relating to the Comprehensive Plan, zoning district map amendments, zoning ordinance text amendments, urban renewal area, and other matters as provided in Chapter 414 of the Code of Iowa and the Windsor Heights Zoning Code that will best promote the health, safety, morals, order, convenience, and general welfare of the City. Terms are 5 years.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers or via Zoom
