City Committees

Personnel & Finance Committee

The Personnel and Finance Committee reviews and makes recommendations on policies related to employee compensation and benefits, employment policies, financial reporting and policies and the City budget. The Committee meets at the call of the Chair or as directed by Council.

Economic Development Committee

The Economic Development Committee researches and studies contemporary trends, identifies development opportunities and funding sources, develops and recommends economic development initiatives and strategies to the City Council, and assists in the development of an overall economic development plan. The Committee meets the morning of the last Tuesday of each month, at the call of the Chair or as directed by Council.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee reviews the City's communications plan and makes recommendations for improvement to the City Council. The Committee meets the morning of the first Wednesday of each month, at the call of the chair or as directed by Council.

Public Safety Committee

The Public Safety Committee works closely with staff to evaluate complex public safety related challenges and make recommendations related to those challenges to the full council. The Public Safety Committee also is briefed on the annual Public Safety budget request and other matters as requested. The Committee meets at the call of the Chair or as directed by Council.

Community Events Committee

The Community Events Committee acts as a coordinating body of City, non-profit, business and citizen volunteers for community events offering recommendations on fundraising, event planning, and overall cultural asset building. The Committee meets at the call of the Chair or as directed by Council.

Colby Park Ad-Hoc Committee

The Colby Park Ad-Hoc Committee is responsible for recommendations to Council regarding the updating and redesign of Colby Park, in accordance with approved budgets and the 2020 Parks Master Plan.
