Peddler/Solicitor/Transient Merchant Permits

A “peddler” or a “solicitor”, loosely defined as someone who is selling goods or services on a public street or going door to door, is required to have a permit pursuant to Chapter 122 of the Windsor Heights City Code. Every peddler or solicitor is required to keep said permit in their possession at all times while doing business in the City and shall, upon the request of prospective customers, display the permit as evidence of compliance with City Code. All peddler and solicitor permits are in force and effect only between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
