Voter Registration

Windsor Heights residents are required to register with the Polk County Election Office in order to vote in Windsor Heights elections. This may be done by filling out and mailing a voter's registration card

Find Your Precinct/Polling Place 

The only polling location in the City of Windsor Heights is located at the Community Center at 6900 School St. As a reminder, part of 69th street is under construction. Please take either 68th or 67th St off University Ave to reach School St. 

Early voting takes place at the Polk County Election Office (120 2 Avenue, Des Moines), which is open for voting from 8 AM – 5 PM (Monday – Friday).

An Important Message from the Windsor Heights Police Department

We wanted to remind Windsor Heights voters of the following:
✔️  Plan ahead and expect long lines at polling locations.
✔️  Respect those around you, even those with different opinions.
✔️  Exercise patience as others exercise their right to vote.

❌ Voter intimidation is Illegal under both State and Federal Law.  According to the US Dept of Justice, voter intimidation is conduct intended to compel prospective voters to vote against their preference or to not vote at all, through activity that is reasonably calculated to instill fear. ❌  Iowa Code 39A.2 and Iowa Code 39A.4 define election misconduct
